Ayako
Yokohama Night
After we met up at Jiyugaoka Station and ate some food in a cafe nearby the station, we headed to Yokohama area to see what we could do at night there. It was my part time job to plan a Yokohama sightseeing tour for tourists in which we must use the Toyoko Line.Luckily, I could spend my working hours outside the office and I didn’t have to pay for myself! Here is a list of places we visited:

night view from Yokohama Landmark tower

First of all, the Toyoko Line from Jiyugaoka Station to Yokohama Station was much faster and more convenient than we thought. It only took about 20 min. Even if you take the line from Shibuya, which is the most popular sightseeing place in Tokyo, it only takes 30 min. Going to Yokohama from Tokyo was much easier than we expected.Secondly, being in Yokohama is a pretty romantic way to spend your time at night; light reflecting on the water near Yokohama Cosmo World is beautiful and sitting on benches near the port is relaxing.
Illuminations in winter are gorgeous anywhere in Tokyo, but I don’t know other areas where I can enjoy colorful lights from the ferris wheel and the gates of Chinatown. I could see both the Skytree and the Tokyo Tower lit-up in one panorama view from Yokohama Landmark Tower as well.Overall, we were satisfied with this course that went from 3 pm to 9 pm. You can also consider staying over in Yokohama as there should be available hotels nearby Yokohama Station.
